About Wild Yoga™, a new vinyasa flow:
Wild Yoga is a way of moving in union with one’s body and breath and also with the body and rhythm of Earth’s body. Here we can embody our wild magical self and connect to the particular area of nature we are in. Wild Yoga raises our bodies, hearts, and minds to a deeper consciousness that aligns us both with the core of our soul essence and the vibration of the larger earthly world in which we live.
Wild Yoga helps us listen to the beings of Nature and the Earth itself, as well as the wildness that lives within us. One definition of wild is “self-willed”. In wild yoga, we can let the whole body or a particular part of the body have a will of its own. We can explore: What are the moves our wild animal body wants to make? In seeking our bodies own rhythm, we can explore flow with the transition of each pose and become like a song, a prayer of love. We can fall into the mysterious pulse of unseen forces, the sacred river of life. As people release their mind’s plans and feel greater love inside, there is more spaciousness for the Earth to enter. We can begin to feel the essence and energy of the natural place we are inhabiting, and the wild beings that live here. The place we are doing yoga influences our practice. We can feel it, and it can feel us.
In The Universe Story, Brian Swimme asks, “Can human beings become present to the Earth community?” In Wild Yoga, we bring our bodies and our loving presence to the Earth. This allows us to listen better and find the true destiny in our bodies of how humans can live in better relationship with the Earth. The crisis of our planet is a creative opportunity for human-kind, and we can best do it be getting into our bodies and feeling the Earth. Wild yoga helps us experiment with a new way to listen and offer ourselves to the Earth. We can explore our human-earth relationship through the body. In wild yoga, we expand our body and our consciousness to the larger world. Schiffman suggests suspending “your best judgement of a situation and ask the bigger knowing instead.” He continues, “It makes perfect sense to do this, especially when you realize how little you actually know how limited and partial your vision really is, and how in need you are of a perspective greater than your own.” Wild yoga helps us inhabit our beings in a way that we can better become a tuning fork or transmitter for which we can be open to listen, feel, and receive Earth.

Rebecca generates a vortex of wild energy which invites others more deeply into their heart (emotional self), wild animal body, and the larger natural world, Earth. Here they can discover the dance of their own body’s breath and rhythm and offer it as a love song to the world.
About Pranassage:
Pranassage is a creative synthesis of yoga and bodywork that produces deep relaxation in the receiver. Many people are turning to yoga classes to bring harmony to mind and body while others may be intimidated by the idea of taking on one more new practice. EVERYONE can enjoy the effects of yoga through pranassage. Sessions can range from gentle stretching and massage to assisted yoga poses amidst an intense and/or relaxing flow.
Pranassage was created by Amba and Don Stapleton of the Nosara Yoga Institute, and it works like this: Think of yourself as a marionette. Your practitioner will physically move your body into a flow of positions that allow you the pleasure of watching how you feel in each position from the inside out. The benefits are immediate, from the opening moment of the first session. What could be more relaxing than getting comfortable and hearing that your role is to let go and enjoy the experience of being in your body.
The goal of Pranassage is relaxation. As your practitioner begins to shift your body into interesting movements and positions, you have the opportunity to witness the forgotten possibilities for motion that provide balance and relief throughout every part of your being.
Entering the state of deep relaxation is an optimal condition for learning new patterns of movement.
Pranassage does not try for any benefit other than relaxation. It does not require a massage table or try to produce deep emotions. There is no dialogue, other than to report out anything that might interrupt your relaxation. Pranassage is not like doubles yoga or contact yoga. Although there is a definite giver and receiver, the giver is doing their own yoga while giving, and therefore will likely find giving as pleasurable as receiving.
Pranassage Introductory Experience at Trimble Hot Springs
Although most Pranassage sessions are 90 minutes long, Rebecca is offering a special 2.5 hour introductory class for either couples or individuals. It may be especially great for couples or good friends, because they can continue giving and receiving upon their return home. Pranassage is a great way to show affection and love through your touch and presence. Perhaps you will meet a friend here whom you can continue practicing with? I took this course as a single individual and have learned a lot from partnering with different people.
The time will commence with a 30 minute gentle to moderate wild yoga experience to invite ourselves into our bodies. Then, we will have a 30-minute demonstration of Pranassage, including a conversation and question and answer period. We will have a short break and then have partners each offering a 30 minute Pranassage experience to each other. Rebecca will model and give a detailed description of what to do while each partner is giving.
Rebecca is also available for individual sessions by appointment.
