Meet Our Therapists

Bodywork brings ease to aches and pains, reduces the stress that incrementally builds up in our bodies, increases our happiness and well being. I am honored and delighted to be an active element in delivering these outcomes. My massage style is one of deep connection using a touch that is both firm and gentle, listening with my hands and active in delivering the pressure that is called for moment to moment. Energetically, I hold a space that allows increased integration within oneself and supports you to be more at home in your own body.... I bring to my bodywork sessions all I have ever done: all the gardening, with my hands in the soil of this planet up to my elbows; all the tending I have given to my own children as they grew up in the gardens; all the wide-open wandering in the remote and quiet places of the West where I have learned to follow my heart and let my feet find the path that is always there.... I bring myself, aligned within my own earth body, dedicated to being present in the activity immediately at hand … delivering the massage that your body is asking for in the moment.... I look forward to working in partnership with you, honoring you right where you are and opening to that unique moment.

Barbara Dutton (Healing Spirits, Boulder, Colorado, 1999)came to Trimble in 2002. Her specialty is Integrative Massage Therapy, including deep tissue, table Shiatsu, and stress-relieving massage. Each massage is tailored to the needs of the client, while making massage all-encompassing, incorporating mind and body. She has particular interest and knowledge regarding coping mechanisms and ergonomic solutions to deal with work-related stress. She's also a certified LaStone® Therapist. Athletes, stressed career people, and women often say they come away from a session with Barb more relaxed in and in tune with their bodies. “This is the massage I have been dreaming about for the past 20 years,” was the response of a long-time Boulder massage therapist. Other clients have commented, “Everything felt connected, body part to body part, technique to technique. “Barb makes you feel comfortable immediately so there is no ‘getting adjusted’ feeling to deal with.” “I can’t believe how great I feel, relaxed but energized.” “I have received massage all over the world in some marvelous settings, and this is the best massage I have ever received.” “Barb’s hands seem to know where to go and how deep to go to relieve every muscle tension.” Barb is an avid road and mountain biker, hiker, and cross-country skier. She particularly relates to women who are active and dealing with the stresses of life but who would like a little assistance with the journey. She loves people and giving massage.
Kathy Ledger ... has been with Trimble Spa since 2005. She is LaStone® certified. My massage style can be described as thorough, with firm/strong/focused pressure, a flowing rhythm, and sensitivity to the client's needs. My specialty is combining Swedish, friction, deep tissue massage, thumbs, elbows, acupressure, and myofascial release techniques to enhance the structure and function of the muscles and connective tissue, relieve muscular tension and stress, flush fluids and wastes, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and increase flexibility. I love working with out-of-town visitors who are new to the area and our spa to make sure their spa and massage experience is a wonderful one. I prefer to do more physical, hands-on, firm massage; though I am very intuitive and sensitive. I like my hands to be on the client’s body. As a former certified nurse’s assistant in a nursing home and have quite a bit of experience giving massages and reflexology to elderly people.
